What will you do to prepare my apartment before I move in?
We will ensure that your apartment is in pristine condition, that all appliances are working properly and deliver your valet trash can.
Do I have to be present for a service technician to perform work?
You do not have to be present unless you wish to be. Currently, due to Covid, we request that if you do wish to be present that you wear a mask and remain in a different room.
Do you have on-site maintenance?
We have maintenance on-site Monday through Friday and available for emergencies 24/7.
An item in my unit needs repair. How do I get help?
You can submit a service ticket online, via email, or over the phone by calling our office. If you have any type of emergency requests, such as no AC in above 80-degree weather or a water leak, we request that you call to be routed to on-call maintenance to have the issue addressed immediately.
What happens if I am locked out?
During office hours you can check out a key from the office. After hours, we do not provide lockout service. Please be sure to always have your key fob, as it is needed to get anywhere within our community.
Is parking available?
Parking is available for $30 per vehicle inside of our deck on a first come first served basis. All residents’ vehicles must be registered through ParkEaz. This registration is essential for maintaining an organized parking system.
What amenities does the property offer?
We have a beautiful pool and courtyard with gas grills, an amazing 24/7 CrossFit gym with a real squat rack and free weights that go up to 75 pounds, a business center with a conference room, tons of co-working space and office spaces, expansive club room with a pool table as well as our rooftop sky lounge with sound booth concept in addition to a community kitchen with gas grills and more. Not to mention 17,000 square feet of street-front retail & restaurant space and a community pocket park.
During which time periods are the pools and decks available for use?
Our pool is open from dawn until dusk
Is your community pet-friendly?
Yes, and we also have amenities for our furry family members! We have a pet wash & grooming studio.
What appliances are standard?
Side by side refrigerator with in-door filtered water & ice maker, gas range and oven, washer and dryer, microwave and dishwasher all come standard in our homes.
Do you offer furnished apartments?
We do not offer fully furnished apartments but we are happy to connect you with preferred corporate housing providers.
How long does it take for an application to be approved?
Pre-approvals come back within minutes. It typically takes one or two days for the final approval.The application fee is $75, and the administrative fee is $150.
What are my options for paying my rent?
Rent can easily be paid online through our resident portal, we also accept checks and money orders for rent.
Am I required to purchase renter's insurance?
We require liability insurance of $100,000 and we recommend you also get renter’s insurance. We recommend ePremium which is the easiest way to get the coverage needed.
Which provider can I use for Internet and cable?
At Alta Porter on Peachtree the choice is yours! You can choose between Google Fiber, AT&T or Comcast for your cable and internet.
If my situation changes can I get out of my lease?
We do offer a termination option within our lease. You would be required to give a 60-day notice and pay termination fees.
How do I set up my utilities?
You will receive an email from Updater as a one-stop shop to set up your utilities at move-in. You only need to set up power with Georgia Power and your cable and/or internet with whichever provider you chose.
Which utilities are included in my rent?
None.
Is there public transportation within close proximity of the buildings?
We are within minutes to the Brookhaven MARTA station.
Which school district are you in?
We are in the DeKalb County School District. Elementary School: Ashford Park, Middle School: Chamblee, High School: Chamblee
How do I get to your community?
We are located directly off of Peachtree Industrial Boulevard. Coming from I-285, take Peachtree Industrial South and Alta Porter will be on your right. Coming from downtown on Peachtree Road, Alta Porter will be on your left.
